DIY - Skin Cleansing Lotions for Dry Skin

For a healthy glowing skin along with lots of pampering and care, regular cleansing is a must. The daily wear and tear, pollution sweat, and make up that you forget to remove properly all attack your skin and make it to prone to infections. Therefore regular cleansing of the skin using a good cleanser is a must
 
People with dry skin however are hesitant to use readymade skin cleansers as they have fear that it will strip the skin of the natural oils and moisture and make it drier. The main point to be kept in mind when choosing skin cleansers for dry skin is that they retain the moisture of the skin and do not make it dry. But there is some good news for those with dry flaky skin. You can make very good skin cleansers using natural resources in your home .These homemade cleansers have triple advantage of cleaning the skin thoroughly ,having no harmful side effects and are not expensive.

Home Made skin cleansers:

1. Yogurt and honey:

Yogurt is a good cleanser, bleaching agent and also moisturizes the skin. Honey is an excellent moisturizer and seals the moisture inside the skin.
  • Mix 2 tablespoons of yogurt and one teaspoon of honey
  • Apply it on the face using cotton balls.
  • Leave it for 2 minutes
  • Wash with water.

2. Vitamin A and vitamin E cleansers:

Vitamin A and E help in maintaining the elasticity of the skin and don’t make it dry. Honey too is added in this cleanser. Honey is an excellent moisturizer and seals the moisture inside the skin.
  • Take one tablespoon of honey
  • Add it to half cup of warm water
  • Empty the contents of one vitamin A capsule into the mixture
  • Now add the contents of one vitamin E capsule.
  • Mix well
  • Immediately apply the mixture to the face.
  • Wash with water after 2 minutes

3. Honey, egg yolk and almond cleanser:

Honey is an excellent moisturizer and seals the moisture inside the skin. Egg yolk moisturizes and nourishes the skin and almond is excellent skin nourishing agent and has antiaging and moisturizing properties.
  • Soak almonds in water overnight.
  • Peel the almonds and make a paste out of it
  • Beat together egg yolk and one teaspoon honey.
  • Add the almond paste to it
  • Apply the mixture to the face.
  • Let the mixture dry.
  • Wash with lukewarm water

4. Apple and yogurt cleanser:

Yogurt is a good cleanser, bleaching agent and also moisturizes the skin. Apple moisturizes and exfoliates. Apple has anti oxidants and it also works as an antiaging agent. They also help reduce wrinkles and prevent tissue damage.
  • Take 2 tablespoons of yogurt
  • To it add one apple which is peeled and sliced
  • Add few drops of olive oil which is a good moisturizer
  • Add lemon juice which has astringent action and is a cleanser
  • Blend all together to a fine paste.
  • Apply it one the face
  • Wash face with lukewarm water after 5 minutes

5. Olive Oil cleanser:

Olive oil has very good moisturizing properties.
  • Take 2 teaspoons of liquid baby soap
  • Add 2 tablespoons of water
  • Add 2 tablespoons of glycerin
  • Add half cup of olive oil.
  • Blend all these together in a food processor
  • Apply this to the face.
  • After one minute wipe face with clean cloth
  • Wash with water.
Make and use these easy cleansers at home and clean your dry skin without damaging it or drying it further. These clean the skin and also replenish the moisture in the skin and make your skin soft and healthy.
