5 easy ways to use olive oil to remove acne scars

It can be used as a scrub. Massaging with olive oil or mixing it with lemon juice and essential oils can give you fabulous result on acne scars.
 The most important factor is the quality of the olive oil one uses. Superior quality virgin olive oil should be used. The type that is rich in polyphenol should be preferred .The extra virgin oil from Spain is one of the purest virgin olive oil. This olive oil does not contain any additives and other blends of different oils. Hence it ensures that the oil does not cause any irritation on your skin. You shall find some benefits of olive oil to treat your skin with acne scars.

1. Olive Oil With Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice contains natural astringent which dries out the acne. It also contains L- ascorbic acid and antibacterial compounds that fight with the acne-producing bacteria. Lemon juice can be highly effective if used in a careful manner but care must be taken not to make lesions worse and avoid increased sensitivity and sun damage. Below you can find some essential tips to get rid from acne with the help of olive oil and lemon juice.
Take one teaspoon of olive oil and half teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Blend it well together. Pour the mixture into a jar. Now, dip a cotton swab into it and apply it on the skin. Leave it undisturbed for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, wash it off with lukewarm water. You can refrigerate the mixture to use it twice a day.

2. Olive Oil With Rosehip Oil:

Rosehip oil is dry oil that penetrates to the deepest layers of the skin where it regenerates cells, increasing collagen production. Rosehip oil is rich source of vitamin C, Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids as all of are known to help heal scar tissue. It also contains high retinoic acid. Studies show that it reduces appearance of wrinkles and brightens your skin. One teaspoon of rosehip oil and 2 teaspoons of olive oil should be taken into a bottle. Shake the mixture properly so that oil gets mixed properly. You can apply the oil on your skin by using a cotton ball and keep it undisturbed for 4 to 5 minutes. Use this remedy at least three times a day to get the best outcomes.

3. Olive Oil With Sea Salt:

Many types of sea salts are available widely into the market, and all can help to create a sea salt scrub. But the sea salt purists believe that Dead Sea salts may be the most therapeutic and most likely to promote the desired "salt glow" to your facial skin .Create a salt scrub mixture by  combining 1 cup fine sea salt, add 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil and add 10 drops essential oil of your own choice. Mix this together. See if it is evenly distributed and lightly moistened with the oil. If you find the mixture too moist, add more sea salt. Now put your sea salt scrub mixture in a glass vessel with a screw-top lid for later use.

4.Olive Oil with Baking Soda

Baking soda is amphoteric. It means it has the ability to act either as a base or an acid. This characteristic of baking soda makes it useful pH neutralizing chemical compound. It helps to correct the pH imbalance of the skin that contributes to acne formation. Baking soda has mild anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that enable it to lessen the irritation caused by inflamed acne. Baking soda has individual particles that are round and hard and also form fine powders thus making it a mild exfoliate. Mix one spoon of baking soda with one spoon of olive oil and mix well. Apply it on your skin, especially on the acne scars, and rub it gently with your fingertips in a circular motion.
