In western countries there is a fetish for tanned skin and people actually bask in the sun to get that perfect tan. Unlike the western countries in Asia tan is not a welcome attribute as in these countries beauty is synonymous to fair skin. The advent of summer brings along with it the gift of sun tan and then we start looking for solutions to get rid of it.

The advent of summer brings along with it the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun. Exposing the skin to sun’s rays results in more melanin production which results in darkening of the skin .But in certain cases it is not limited to just darkening of the skin. It gives rise to several skin ailments like:
  • Sunburn
  • Premature Skin aging
  • Wrinkles
  • Skin infections which can give rise to acne, dark spots.
  • Hyper pigmentation
  • In severe cases it can even lead to skin cancer.
Once affected by sun tan we rush to get beauty products which will help get rid of the darkness but these can cause further damage to the skin due to chemicals present in them and besides they are quite expensive.
