The radiance and beauty of flawless glowing skin is every woman’s yearning. Every single person is willing to go an extra mile to get unblemished glowing skin. In an effort to achieve this objective we end up buying innumerable skin products which usually give very little results but a huge dent to our pockets. Most of the market products have substances which may not suit the skin and result in more damage of our delicate skin.

Type of skin can be determined by carrying out the tissue paper test on the T zone (area of forehead, nose and chin).Dab the tissue paper on a clean skin and check it .

  • If tissue paper is not oily and skin is flaky then it is dry skin
  • If tissue paper is oily and cheeks are dry then it is combination skin.

Both honey and lemon are good skin lightening agents. Honey is a good moisturizer.
  • Mix one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of lemon juice in a bowl.
  • Apply the mixture on face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes
  • Wash face with cold water.
  • Follow this remedy everyday.

2. Tomatoes:

  Tomatoes are good bleaching agents and help in skin lightening.
  • Make puree of one tomato in a blender.
  • Apply the puree to face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Wash with cold water.

3. Papaya:

Papaya has an enzyme papain which removes dead cells. It has antioxidants which help in making the skin smooth.
  • Smash few pieces of papaya.
  • To this add few drops of honey.
  • Apply this mixture to the face.

4.Rice Flour:

Rice flour acts as an exfoliating agent and removes dead skin cells which helps remove blackheads and give smooth glowing skin.
  • Take fine rice flour.
  • Add milk and mix well to make a smooth paste.
  • Apply this scrub to the face.
  • Rub the face gently till all the scrub falls off
  • Wash face with cold water.

5.Multani Mitti :

Multani mitti is very good for the skin. It improves the skin texture.
  • Take one tablespoon of multani mitti.
  • To this add coconut water.
  • Mix to make a smooth paste.
  • Apply the pack to face.
  • Wash of the face with cold water after 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Don’t let the pack dry on the face.
  • This remedy can be followed once in a week.

6. Turmeric:

  • Take little turmeric.
  • To this add lemon juice.

7.Sandalwood Powder:

Sandalwood helps in giving radiant skin.
  • Take one tablespoon of sandalwood powder.
  • Add rosewater to it which has a cooling effect.
  • Apply the paste to the skin.
  • Wash it with cold water after 15 minutes.
  • Remedy can be followed once in a week.

8.Banana:

Banana has vitamins A, B, E which have anti ageing properties .Banana facials work wonders for the skin. Banana has several nutrients which help in improving blood circulation.
  • Mash a ripe banana in a bowl.
  • To it add one or two drops olive oil so that the skin remains moisturized.
  • Apply the mixture to the face.
  • Leave it for 20 minutes
  • Wash face with cold water.
  • Follow the remedy once in a week.

9. Eggs and honey

Egg white helps tighten the skin while honey moisturizes the skin and makes it look bright.
  • Take egg white in a bowl.
  • To it add one tablespoon of honey.
  • Mix it well
  • Apply it to the face.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes
  • Wash face with cold water.
  • Follow the remedy once in 15 days.

Tips for skin care:

  • Drink ample amount of water so that the skin remains hydrated, blood circulation is better and it also facilitates removal of toxins from the body.
  • Eat a diet which includes fruits like banana,papaya,lemon,orange ,apple which improve the skin .Also include lots of leafy vegetables, nuts like walnuts, almonds etc.Reduce salt intake.
  • Quit smoking and drinking.
  • Do not use heavy make up and make sure to remove make up before going to bed.
  • Make sure you get your beauty sleep.
